From March to May 2024, painter Djamel Tatah (born in Saint-Chamond in 1959) will offer a new visit to the Musée Matisse in Nice.
He has subjectively selected from the museum’s collections about a hundred graphic and sculptural works by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), spanning his entire career, supplemented by exceptional loans from the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA). The exhibition will alternate with about thirty personal paintings, generally of monumental dimensions, selected from his production over the past twenty years and coming from public and private collections.

This exhibition is the first retrospective dedicated to Martine Doytier. It brings together all her known works to date.
Martine Doytier was an artist in Nice from 1971 to 1984. Over thirteen years, she developed captivating work.
Her keen eye and ability to depict characters and tell their stories have produced a corpus of continuously evolving works and led her to undertake what would have been her last unfinished work: “Self-portrait,” a painting she worked on for five years passionately depicting her daily world.

The exhibition is divided into 6 sections, both chronological and thematic. With “Elles ne sont pas les bienvenues” (They are not welcome), the exhibition begins its journey through time with the first Olympic Games of the modern era.
