In the Pays de Grasse, in the French Alpes-Maritimes, the “Rendez-vous Nature” program returns in 2026, offering a series of initiatives designed to bring residents and visitors closer to nature and raise awareness about the protection of local biodiversity.

The initiative, organized by the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse (CAPG), will begin on Saturday, March 14, and continue for several months, with activities scheduled throughout the spring and until autumn.

The project offers around thirty free activities, mainly aimed at residents of the 23 municipalities that make up the Pays de Grasse agglomeration. The goal is to encourage more sustainable behaviors and strengthen knowledge of the local natural and rural heritage through hands-on experiences and shared learning opportunities.

The program includes training sessions, workshops and guided nature outings. Participants will be able to explore different aspects of environmental protection, including ecological gardening courses, meetings dedicated to local biodiversity, and activities highlighting the important role of pollinating insects. There will also be awareness initiatives on topics such as reducing light pollution.

Practical activities connected to the region’s rural heritage are also planned, including participatory restoration workshops for “restanques”, the traditional dry-stone terrace walls typical of the area, as well as introductory activities related to beekeeping.

In addition, guided excursions will allow participants to discover some of the most representative natural landscapes of the Pays de Grasse, including forests, rivers and emblematic natural sites.

Events will take place in several municipalities of the agglomeration, including Grasse, Mouans-Sartoux, Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, Peymeinade, Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne and Escragnolles, highlighting the diversity of natural environments found across the territory.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required, as the number of places for each activity is limited.

With this new edition of “Rendez-vous Nature”, the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse reaffirms its commitment to environmental education and the promotion of local natural resources, inviting residents and visitors to rediscover their connection with nature through a rich program of outdoor activities and encounters.
