On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Monaco will host the second edition of the Journée de la Petite Enfance, an event dedicated to early childhood, organized by the Service Petite Enfance & Familles of the Monaco City Hall under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Princess Charlene.

The event will take place from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Parc Princesse Antoinette and will be open to everyone with free admission. Its aim is to create a space for families, children, and early childhood professionals to meet and exchange while showcasing the educational services available in the Principality.


A family-focused event dedicated to early childhood education

The Early Childhood Day is designed as a friendly and participatory morning, allowing parents to discover Monaco’s daycare facilities and the Mini-Club of Larvotto.

It is also an opportunity to meet the professionals who support young children’s development every day, fostering direct dialogue between families and educators.

Through playful activities, workshops, and discussion sessions, the event promotes a shared vision of early childhood education based on care, listening, and balanced development.


Program of Early Childhood Day 2026 in Monaco

Throughout the morning, Parc Princesse Antoinette will be transformed into an open-air educational and recreational space with a wide range of activities for different age groups.

For younger children, activities will include:

  • music workshops
  • sensory and creative activities
  • motor skills and manipulation games
  • language, imitation, and construction activities
  • educational experiences supporting cognitive development

Nutrition-focused workshops will also be offered, addressing infant feeding and dietary diversification, led by dietitians and the service’s chefs.

The Mini-Club of Larvotto will organize a series of fun and sporting activities for older children, including:

  • Molkky tournament
  • table tennis tournament
  • group game “Loup Garou”

These activities aim to encourage teamwork, social interaction, and cooperative play in a fun and educational environment.


Meetings and discussions for parents

Parents will be invited to take part in a roundtable discussion with early childhood professionals.

The main topic will focus on the role of play in child development, offering practical insights to support children’s growth in everyday life.


Recognizing early childhood professionals in Monaco

Early Childhood Day also highlights the essential contribution of all professionals involved in childcare services.

This includes nursery staff, administrative teams, technical workers, kitchen staff, laundry services, and maintenance teams, all of whom play a key role in the daily functioning of early childhood institutions in the Principality.
