The International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo is organizing, to celebrate the Centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III and the 50 years of this event, which has become essential in the circus world, created by the Prince in 1974, a grand parade in the city and an open-air show on the square of the Princely Palace, the Open Air Circus Show.
Several decorated floats, artists in costumes, elephants, horses, the Festival Orchestra, the Crazy Clowns, who will animate the parade with music, and the tourist train will depart from the Fontvieille Circus at 2:00 PM to reach the Palace Square at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
A grand buffet awaits the elephants, and a unique open-air show will take place for the delight of young and old.
A sensational feat will take place before the eyes of the public: a tightrope walker will cross the Palace Square at a height of 25 meters over a distance of 80 meters.
Then, for the very first time in Europe, a troupe of artists from the United States will present the circus’s flagship discipline: the flying trapeze under the sky of Monaco. Audiences can rediscover these incredible artists and their feats during the Festival, which will start on Friday, January 19, 2024.
