In the presence of H.E. Mr. Pierre DARTOUT, Minister of State, and Mr. Pierre-André CHIAPPORI, Government Counsellor Minister for Finance and the Economy, the Tourism and Convention Bureau (DTC) recently gathered representatives of Monaco’s tourism sector at the Grimaldi Forum. 2023 was a good year and ended with a hotel occupancy rate in the Principality of 57%, up 1 point from 2022. The average price, on the other hand, increased by 3.5% to reach the record value of €474 excluding service charges. While the summer was driven by clientele from the United States and the Middle East, the annual TOP 3 also changed with the entry of the USA in second place behind France and ahead of Italy, pushing the United Kingdom to fourth place. Mr. Guy ANTOGNELLI, Director of Tourism and Conventions, indicated that the DTC will further intensify its commercial actions in the most promising markets and focus on revitalizing essential markets that, although still predominant, are not as dynamic as before. In addition to a wide-ranging action dedicated to responsible tourism, the campaign ‘LIKE NOWHERE ELSE’ will continue to be the subject of an ambitious deployment plan, particularly with airlines such as Air France, United Airlines, Lufthansa, China Airlines, and British Airways
