Manila Di Giovanni and the Metaverse, in the first meeting of the Young People of Dante Monaco.

An exceptional guest for the Dante Alighieri Association – Monaco Committee and the first meeting organized by the newly formed group “Young people of Dante Monaco”. Manila Di Giovanni – a very young entrepreneur who, at the age of 22, founded a startup and created the world’s first Metaverse of a State, the Principality of Monaco – will speak about the digital reality and future prospects. The event, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. the Princess of Hanover and with the Patronage of the Italian Embassy, will take place at the AGORA Diocesan Auditorium (entrance from 13, Rue Bel Respire) with free admission, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 6:30 PM. Title of the evening: “From idea to action: creating the virtual economy of tomorrow in the Metaverse with DWorld”.

Speaking to the members and friends of Dante about the virtual world and DWorld (a reality founded by Manila and composed of 9 people) will be the young talent from Genoa, whose mother is Filipino, who moved to the Principality. Immediately after graduating from the International University of Monaco, Manila Di Giovanni was included in the prestigious “Forbes 30 under 30”; she won the “Top Young Italian Entrepreneur” Award from the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Monaco; the “Rising Star” award at the Meta Entertainment World and came second in the JCI (Young Economic Chamber) competition on “Entrepreneurship in Monaco”. She also won the Prix Monte Carlo Woman of the Year 2023. With her DWorld, and despite the numerous awards already received, the young “startupper” is aiming straight for the future: “we have recreated the 5 districts of the Principality – she explains – where you can open shops, create restaurants, activities, buy houses. A virtual economy, parallel, connected to reality”.

The association chaired by Maria Betti will therefore also show us on this occasion how the humanistic and literary world can be in harmony with the Metaverse and with a technology that helps man to increase his abilities.
