The Principality of Monaco is set to become the global capital of luxury with the inaugural edition of the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie (GPHJ), taking place from October 22 to 25, 2025. The event will culminate in a gala ceremony on October 25 in the legendary Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo, the sparkling heart of Monegasque savoir-faire and elegance.
Co-founded by the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) — a symbol of the art de vivre since 1863 — and Jean-Philippe Braud, President of Profirst France, the GPHJ aims to celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage of international jewelry by offering a prestigious showcase in the emblematic setting of the Monte-Carlo Casino.
The event brings together renowned Maisons, world-class collectors, master artisans, historic jewelry families, and representatives from gem-producing nations across Africa and Asia. Over three days of public exhibitions, visitors will be able to admire unique creations displayed in Monaco’s boutiques and at the Café de la Rotonde of the Casino, open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.. Through a dedicated app and website, the public can vote for their favorite piece, which will receive the Audience Award during the closing ceremony.
An international jury, chaired by journalist Fabienne Reybaud, will award eight trophies recognizing design, savoir-faire, heritage, exceptional stones, emerging talents, and innovation. Among the jurors are leading figures from the worlds of art, fashion, gemology, and collecting.
“This Grand Prix embodies our vision of bringing together the key players in international luxury at the heart of the Resort,” stated Stéphane Valeri, Deputy Chairman of SBM.
Jean-Philippe Braud added: “Haute joaillerie deserved its own summit — we have created the perfect conditions for a must-attend event on the luxury calendar.”
Beyond being a showcase of beauty and excellence, the GPHJ also serves as a platform for dialogue on ethical and environmental issues shaping the jewelry industry, including traceability, sustainability, and the transmission of expertise.
An event that promises to unite tradition and innovation, confirming Monaco as a global crossroads for responsible and creative luxury.
