The Principality of Monaco and the Kingdom of Bahrain have taken another significant step in strengthening their bilateral economic partnership. A high-level delegation from Bahrain, led by Noor Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB Bahrain), recently visited Monaco to deepen cooperation in investment, business development and international economic relations.

The visit, organized by Invest Monaco under the leadership of Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff, Delegate for Attractiveness to the Minister of State, marks the continuation of a strategic dialogue that began with Monaco’s economic mission to Bahrain in 2024 and was further advanced during meetings held at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2026.

Monaco and Bahrain Expand Their Strategic Partnership

During the official visit, the Bahraini delegation was also welcomed by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, highlighting the Principality’s commitment to strengthening relations with one of the Gulf region’s leading economic and financial hubs.

The meetings focused on enhancing economic cooperation, attracting international investment and identifying new business opportunities while reinforcing the shared ambition of both countries to promote sustainable economic growth and global competitiveness.

Invest Monaco Brings Together the Principality’s Business Ecosystem

As part of the visit, Invest Monaco organized a series of high-level meetings involving some of Monaco’s most influential public and private institutions.

The working sessions also brought together the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Monaco Economic Board, executives from the banking sector, consulting firms and leading businesses based in the Principality, creating valuable networking opportunities between key decision-makers from both countries.

Innovation and Investment at the Core of the Partnership

The discussions highlighted the many similarities between Monaco and Bahrain, particularly their shared commitment to innovation, international openness, institutional stability and business-friendly environments.

Both nations aim to strengthen their appeal to investors, entrepreneurs and international companies by fostering competitive ecosystems that encourage sustainable growth, technological development and cross-border investment.

One of the most important outcomes of the visit was the agreement on a joint roadmap between Invest Monaco and the Bahrain Economic Development Board.

The two organizations agreed to immediately begin working on the projects identified during the meetings while closely involving private-sector partners from both countries.

Regular working sessions will take place over the coming months, leading to a new Monaco business mission to Bahrain scheduled for the first half of 2027, with the objective of transforming strategic dialogue into tangible investment opportunities and long-term economic partnerships.

Economic Diplomacy Driving Sustainable Growth

According to Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff, Delegate for Attractiveness to the Minister of State and CEO of Invest Monaco, the visit represents the natural progression of the relationship established between the two countries over recent years.

By connecting institutions, investors and business leaders, Invest Monaco aims to facilitate meaningful partnerships capable of generating long-term value for the Principality while reinforcing Monaco’s position as an international hub for investment, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The strengthened partnership with Bahrain forms part of Monaco’s broader strategy to expand its global economic network and build lasting relationships with leading international business centers, creating new opportunities for companies and investors in both countries.
