Summer is set to continue in Cannes throughout September, particularly in the heart of Le Suquet, the city’s oldest and most picturesque district. Following the success of the summer events, which attracted more than 1,800 visitors per evening, Les Jeudis du Suquet returns with four new events dedicated to music, gastronomy and conviviality.

The events will take place on September 3, 10, 17 and 24, from 6 pm to 10 pm, when rue du Pré and the streets of Cannes’ historic district will once again be transformed into a vibrant open-air meeting place.

Four Thursdays to Experience the Historic Heart of Cannes

The initiative is the result of a collaboration between local restaurateurs and shopkeepers, with the aim of keeping the atmosphere of Le Suquet alive even as the peak tourist season begins to slow down.

The project highlights one of Cannes’ most iconic areas, a historic district overlooking the Vieux Port and preserving a strong connection with the city’s origins. With its narrow uphill streets, colourful buildings and panoramic views, Le Suquet remains one of the most authentic places to discover for visitors to the French Riviera.

Music, DJ Sets and Aperitifs: The Les Jeudis du Suquet Programme

The successful formula of the summer events will continue throughout September. The evenings will feature live music, DJ sets and aperitifs, while restaurants and venues in the area will offer special aperitif platters, allowing visitors to enjoy the district’s gastronomic offerings in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

The artistic direction of the programme is entrusted to Mozart, the creator of the Bal des Fous, who has developed a diverse and eclectic musical programme.

The schedule includes:

  • September 3: DJ Mozart and DJ Vellini;
  • September 10: DJ Mozart, DJ Vellini and Highwood;
  • September 17: Marc & Chester;
  • September 24: the return of the Mozart and Vellini duo.

The organisers have also announced the participation of additional artists, whose names will be revealed at a later date.

Le Suquet, Cannes’ Most Authentic District

What makes Les Jeudis du Suquet particularly special is the setting itself. The historic district preserves the oldest soul of Cannes and is characterised by narrow streets, steep lanes and colourful Mediterranean houses.

Nearby, Place de la Castre offers one of the city’s most spectacular panoramic views. From the area dominated by the Notre-Dame-d’Espérance church and its medieval tower, visitors can enjoy sweeping views across Cannes, the Croisette and the Lérins Islands.

Traffic and Public Transport Changes During the Events

Temporary changes to local public transport services will be introduced during the event evenings. To ensure greater pedestrian safety, the Palm Bus stops on rue du Pré and rue des Suisses will not be served while the events are taking place.

With these four September events, Les Jeudis du Suquet confirms its place among the most appealing end-of-summer events in Cannes. It is an opportunity for both residents and visitors to experience the historic district in a different way, combining music, flavours and conviviality while extending the spirit of summer in the oldest heart of the city.
