Wednesday, April 10th at 3:00 PM at the Auditorium Rainier III, the children’s show “Ondin et la Petite Sirène” will be staged, freely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s tale “The Little Mermaid”.
After years of wandering, the Little Mermaid has returned to her palace. She discovers her kingdom in ruins, abandoned by the sea people, devastated by plastic and toxic waste. The witch Mami Wata, nurturing sea and destructive ocean, has built her empire here: the Seventh Continent!
Ondino, a boy everyone mocks, receives a bottle at sea. Inside, he finds a letter with the final words: “Save us, Ondino. You can do it. I trust you.” Signed: The Little Mermaid.
Ondino plunges into the adventure without hesitation and will try to free the ocean of the Seventh Continent. But will he succeed alone?
The audience is invited to participate in the story, especially with a musical instrument they will have made beforehand: a small empty plastic bottle, with regular streaks and no label, filled with sound elements such as rice, lentils, marbles, etc.
They will be able to use it during Mami Wata’s call, mixing and striking it with a wand or a small, also reclaimed, tool.
