Save the date! From November 29th to December 1st, the city of Menton will host the first edition of the Menton Tattoo Convention at the prestigious Palais de l’Europe. This unique event will bring together tattoo lovers, curious visitors, and some of the finest tattoo artists from France, Europe, and beyond.
With 66 dedicated booths, attendees will have the chance to admire the work of renowned tattoo artists, diving into a world of creativity, talent, and passion. For those interested, there will also be the opportunity to leave with a work of art permanently etched on their skin.
From its origins as an ancient expression, tattooing has traversed centuries of history, often marginalized as a symbol of rebellion. Starting in the 1960s and 1970s, this practice began its journey of democratization and has evolved into a true form of personal and social art today.
Whether it’s tribal designs, floral patterns, colorful compositions, or minimalist lines, tattooing is now recognized as an artistic movement embraced by people of all ages and professions. With over 20% of the French population tattooed and a 50% increase in tattoo artists over the last decade, this cultural phenomenon is thriving. Interestingly, women are more likely to get tattooed than men.
Over the three days of the Menton Tattoo Convention, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities:
This event is made possible with the support of France Boissons and the Cooperative Agricole of Nice, two organizations that share a passion for art and creativity.
