The month of January this year is set to be filled with unmissable events and musical discoveries. The Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo (OPMC) will offer no fewer than eight concerts in Monaco, participate in the fourth edition of the Mozart Festival in Monaco, and perform in renowned concert halls such as the Konzerthaus in Dortmund and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
On Friday, January 10th, at 8:00 PM, the celebrated Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes will make his debut in Monaco with a recital combining works by his fellow countrymen Edvard Grieg and Geir Tveitt (1908-1981) alongside the famous preludes by Frédéric Chopin.
On Sunday, January 12th, the renowned French-Swiss conductor Bertrand de Billy will return to lead a highly intense symphonic program. The Zeliha Trio, composed of the talented Manon Galy (violin), Maxime Quennesson (cello), and Jorge González Buajasán, will perform Beethoven’s Triple Concerto. The orchestra will then play Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7, a work that brought the Austrian composer international recognition at the age of 60.
