Cagnes-sur-Mer is preparing for a full day of fun, creativity and togetherness as the World Play Festival returns. On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Parc des Bugadières will become a huge open-air playground for the 26th edition of the famous Fête mondiale du Jeu, a free event open to all ages.
Surrounded by greenery along the river, the park will host more than thirty activities including live performances, creative workshops, interactive games and roaming entertainment. The 2026 edition, titled “The Elements at Play”, will take visitors on a journey inspired by earth, water, air and fire through immersive and engaging experiences.
The festival is one of the most anticipated family-friendly events on the French Riviera, attracting children, parents and game enthusiasts alike. The event promotes values such as inclusion, accessibility and social interaction by offering completely free activities in a welcoming outdoor setting.
The program will be divided into two main themed areas designed for all generations.
The first area will focus on dynamic games and creative activities. Highlights include the escape game “Nostradamus and the Four Elements”, a giant maze, remote-controlled car circuits, treasure hunts and symbolic play zones. Visitors will also enjoy artistic workshops featuring clay golem creations, colorful candle making and parent-child illustration sessions.
The second area will be dedicated to younger children, with sensory zones, giant games, motor-skill activities and educational workshops. The schedule also includes yoga sessions for parents and children, creative experiences and the magical “Bus of Wonders”, an immersive activity exploring the natural elements through play.
The festival atmosphere will be enhanced by live entertainment throughout the park. Stilt walkers, giant soap bubble performances and the Indigo Circus will bring energy and excitement to the event all day long.
One of the most anticipated attractions is the interactive show “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and the Elements”, combining dance, magic and audience participation in a captivating performance.
The World Play Festival once again confirms its mission to combine entertainment and learning, offering activities that stimulate imagination, cooperation and creativity for both children and adults.
The event will also feature board game creators and gaming associations introducing visitors to new interactive experiences. A food and refreshment area will be available at the entrance of the park.
The event promises to be one of the most exciting family festivals on the French Riviera, offering a perfect day of games, nature and live entertainment in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
