On Friday, June 7, 2024, the Dante Alighieri Association – Monaco Committee, under the High Patronage of H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover and with the sponsorship of the Italian Embassy and thanks to the generosity of members Liana and Mauro Marabini, presents at the AGORA Diocesan Auditorium (18, rue Bellevue Monaco) at 6:30 PM, the conference “Italians in the World Report 2023: Differently Present and Re-Present” by Delfina Licata, Migration Sociologist, Migrantes Foundation, an organization of the Italian Episcopal Conference.

Delfina Licata, in addition to being the curator and editor-in-chief of the “Italians in the World Report,” is also the coordinator of the “Encyclopedic Dictionary of Italian Migrations in the World” (2014). She wrote the book “Italy and the Children of the Wind: Internal Mobility and New Migrations” (Donzelli, 2022) with a preface by Andrea Riccardi, President of the Dante Alighieri Society (Rome), and is part of the scientific committee of the Migration Festival in Modena. Following the introduction by President Maria Betti, the scholar will expertly explain to the members and friends of Dante Monaco the latest developments regarding “a country on the move,” despite the demographic crisis. Her analysis will also provide an insight into “the peculiar characteristic of the 2023 Special, which delves into the Italian territorial dimension through twenty different essays on the respective regional realities of Italy and the importance of socio-statistical analyses of the most accredited official national and international sources on our country’s mobility.”
