The Suquet des Artistes in Cannes presents a fascinating exhibition, open until Sunday, April 28, 2024: “Barbara Navi, ces portes de corne et d’ivoire.”
Barbara Navi showcases dream-like paintings that merge the realms of myths and philosophy. Her art blends images from various sources, such as painting, cinema, or photography, to express the poetry and beauty of the world around her.
Graduated in philosophy and from the Boulle school, her mission is to illustrate the poetry and inherent beauty of the surrounding world. The artist draws inspiration from texts on the passion of Christ, the story of the Tower of Babel, and the myths of Goliath, Léda, and Pegasus.
Since the 2000s, her works combine classical elements of painting and cinema. The exhibition at Suquet des Artistes in Cannes, located at 7 Rue Saint-Dizier, will remain open until April 28, 2024. You can visit it from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
