As part of the modernization of public services and the implementation of Law No. 1.583 of December 2, 2025, the Principality of Monaco has officially launched a new online e-service dedicated to employment mutual termination (“rupture conventionnelle”).

The service is designed for both employers and employees in the private sector, marking a major step forward in the digital transformation of Monaco’s labor administration system.

Mutual termination of employment in Monaco: new legal framework

Until now, employment contracts in Monaco could only be terminated through resignation or dismissal.

Since March 12, 2026, a new legal mechanism has been introduced: mutual termination of employment (“rupture conventionnelle”), allowing employers and employees to agree jointly on the terms of contract termination.

New digital service for employment procedures

The e-service, developed jointly by the Digital Services Department (DSN) and the Labor Department (DT), is the result of collaboration between:

  • Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition (DITN)
  • Department of Social Affairs and Health (DASS)

It has been available since March 23, 2026 on the official Monguichet.mc portals, for both individuals and businesses.

What the online service allows users to do

The new digital platform for employment mutual termination in Monaco enables users to:

  • submit a termination agreement online
  • track application progress in real time
  • adv-30
  • communicate with the Labor Inspectorate during the review process
  • receive the official approval decision electronically

The system ensures a simplified, secure, and transparent procedure for all users.

A step forward in Monaco’s digital administration

This initiative reflects the Princely Government’s commitment to making administrative procedures:

  • simpler
  • more accessible
  • faster and more efficient

It also supports the ongoing evolution of labor law in Monaco, adapting legal frameworks to modern needs.
