
The Corps des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Monaco held a solemn and highly symbolic ceremony on Monday, June 29, 2026, marking the official presentation of operational helmets to nine new recruits, who now formally join the Principality’s fire and rescue service.
The event took place at Place du Campanin, in the presence of Monaco’s highest authorities and the families of the young firefighters.

The nine new recruits, enlisted in 2026, belong to the “Caporal Vivent Bruyère” class, named in honor of a Corps member who joined in 1975 and died in service in 1991 at the age of 37.
The ceremony was attended by the family of the honored corporal as well as the families of the recruits, creating a moment of deep emotional and institutional significance.
