On the occasion of the 82nd Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco, scheduled from May 22 to 25, 2025, the Princely Government has announced enhanced public safety measures. The goal is clear: to counter spontaneous gatherings of sports cars, often linked to dangerous driving and traffic violations.

🚨 Unauthorized gatherings: a real safety risk

Major events like the Monaco Grand Prix attract thousands of motorsport fans, leading to large concentrations of high-performance vehicles. These unofficial meetups frequently involve risky maneuvers and disruptive behavior, disturbing residents and posing challenges to road safety.

🔧 New measures: vehicles may be held up to 120 hours

To address the issue, the government has introduced extraordinary measures. Chief among them is the immediate immobilization of vehicles in violation of traffic regulations, with administrative holds of up to five days (120 hours). This is a stricter approach than in previous editions of the Grand Prix and aims to deter dangerous conduct.

🛡️ A spectacular — and safe — Grand Prix

The goal is not only enforcement but prevention. The authorities aim to protect residents, tourists, and fans by ensuring the Monaco Grand Prix takes place in a festive yet orderly environment.

With this strategy, Monaco reaffirms its reputation as a well-organized and safety-conscious city — ready to deliver a unique Formula 1 spectacle without compromise.
