Les Casemates de la Création

Female nudes, characters, and portraits by Thi Gomez (Casemate Comte):

Born in Nancy in 1975, Thi Gomez has been drawing since childhood. She became a certified English teacher in 1998 and then took stock of her skills at the age of 30.
She resumed her studies and graduated in graphic design and illustration from the MJM school in Nice in 2008. Here, she discovered life drawing classes. It was a revelation! She was fascinated by the aesthetics of the female body.
She became a graphic designer and illustrator. Over the years, her drawings evolved: female nudes, characters in motion, and comic-style portraits.
Her drawings are made on white paper with black ink or ballpoint pen.
Sometimes they are colored on the computer.
Today she presents her work to us.

STRANGE FLYING MACHINES

In addition to its permanent exhibition with audio-guided tour, the Postcard Museum presents a temporary exhibition of antique postcards depicting the beginnings of aviation.

From 1900 to 1914, postcards tell the beginnings of aviation history. Especially in France, where pilots are both great sportsmen and adventurers.
Many cities will organize Meetings, Competitions, “Aviation Days” with numerous prizes, intended to reward the participants.
At each of these events, new altitude, speed, endurance, and distance records are set.

Photographers immortalize these feats, and many postcards praising the merits of aviators are published and sold.
For the general public who remain grounded, watching the first airplanes evolve in the skies fulfills the old dream of ICARUS.

Now man can fly!
