In Monaco, even a simple lunch break can turn into a high-end culinary experience. There’s no need to wait for a special evening: just choose any weekday, reserve a table — or a seat at the counter — and let the flavors lead the way.

The Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group, with more than thirty restaurants and bars and ten Michelin stars, holds the record as the most Michelin-starred resort in the world. Today it opens the doors of its kitchens at lunchtime as well, with menus starting at €29 and going up to €150, offering the perfect opportunity to discover the gastronomic side of the Principality.

There are seven addresses to discover, seven different ways to enjoy lunch in Monaco.

You can begin at the historic Café de Paris Monte-Carlo overlooking the famous Place du Casino. Its brasserie retains the atmosphere of classic Parisian brasseries. Each week chef Victor Marion creates a dish of the day, paired with a wine carefully selected by head sommelier Fabien Giordano. The lunch formula is available Monday to Friday from €39.

Crossing the square leads to the top floor of the iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, where since 1959 the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Grill has overlooked the Principality with a breathtaking view of the two Rivieras. Here chef Dominique Lory showcases grilled meat and fish, combining precision and simplicity. The lunch menu is served Monday to Friday from 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm, with prices from €98 to €140 including water and two glasses of wine.

For those looking for a more relaxing break, the ideal address is L’Hirondelle inside the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo. Chef Jean-Laurent Basile offers light and wellness-focused cuisine, with gluten-free dishes, detox options and seafood specialties. The restaurant is open daily from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm, with menus starting at €60.

In the One Monte-Carlo district, in the heart of the Carré d’Or, you’ll find Mada One, created by two-Michelin-star chef Marcel Ravin. Here he introduced “snackonomy”, a concept designed for those who have little time but high expectations, combining speed and elegance.

At the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, the restaurant Pavyllon Monte-Carlo bears the signature of multi-starred chef Yannick Alléno. Sitting at the counter allows guests to watch the kitchen brigade at work. The seasonal “Brève de Comptoir” menu includes starter, main course and dessert for €89, available Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

In the new waterfront district of Mareterra, the atmosphere turns distinctly British. At Marlow, chef Sébastien Blin offers a London-style club ambiance overlooking the Mediterranean. The menu changes weekly with British-inspired specialties. Lunch is served Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm, with dishes starting at €29.

Finally, the most theatrical setting of all: the Salon Rose hidden inside the legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo. Surrounded by elegant alcoves, mother-of-pearl decorations and painted ceilings by artist Massimiliano Gallelli, chef Richard Rubbini serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Guests who reserve lunch do not have to pay the casino entrance fee, making it the perfect opportunity to admire the baroque splendor of the historic rooms. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with menus starting at €30.

Seven restaurants, seven atmospheres, but one shared philosophy: the Monegasque talent for turning an ordinary lunch into an extraordinary experience — even at 12:30 on an ordinary Tuesday.
