Back for its third edition, “Les Nocturnes de la Villa” returns as one of the most refined cultural events of the French Riviera summer. From Monday, July 14 to Tuesday, August 26, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild opens its gates every Monday and Tuesday evening for a series of magical performances under the open sky.
Organised by the Académie des Beaux-Arts and curated by Muriel Mayette-Holtz, each evening begins at 8:00 p.m., inviting guests to stroll through the elegant salons, enjoy a picnic on the French-style gardens’ lawns, and take in a live performance at sunset in an unforgettable setting.
The lineup offers a wide variety of genres — from classical and jazz to French chanson, theatre, and even magic.
Among the featured artists:
Thomas Dutronc with Il n’est jamais trop tard
The powerful Angélique Kidjo
The duet Rosemary Standley & André Manoukian
The magician Larsène with two mind-bending shows
The Orchestre National de Cannes, conducted by Laurent Petitgirard
Brigitte Fossey in a poetic reading dedicated to Flaubert
Jazz tribute to Chet Baker with David Enhco and Marc Perrenoud
The performances take place outdoors, on the garden lawns, with no fixed seating: guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and enjoy the show in total relaxation. A gourmet picnic option is also available.
