A summer to enjoy to the fullest in the heart of the Mediterranean
In the Principality of Monaco, July promises to be hotter than ever – and not just because of the weather. The events calendar is bursting with must-see happenings for all ages and interests: art, music, sports, open-air shows, and family-friendly activities.
Major exhibitions and music under the stars
The Grimaldi Forum hosts two exceptional exhibitions: “Colours! Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou” (8 July – 31 August), a sensory journey through over 100 iconic 20th-century artworks, and “Monaco and the Napoleons. Intertwined Destinies” (11 July – 31 August), which explores the historical ties between the French imperial dynasty and Monaco’s Princes.
Not to be missed: three extraordinary concerts by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra in the Honour Courtyard of the Prince’s Palace on 10, 20, and 31 July — an unforgettable musical experience in a stunning setting.
Summer belongs to families
From 18 July to 24 August, Port Hercule turns into an open-air playground with rides, games, sports, and the AS Monaco Kids Tour. Meanwhile, under the big top in Fontvieille, the summer circus school is in session from 7 July to 15 August, with a focus on aerial arts.
Looking for something different? On 16 July, the Rainier III Nautical Stadium offers free “baptism of the water” sessions, guided by professional instructors — open to both kids and adults.
Festivals, art, and fireworks
The Monte-Carlo Summer Festival brings the Salle des Étoiles to life from 5 July to 15 August with international stars like Santana, Scorpions, The Dire Straits Experience, and Paul Kalkbrenner.
For art lovers, Monaco Art Week (7–12 July) offers a cultural journey through galleries, auction houses, and meet-the-artist events, under the patronage of Princess Alexandra of Hanover.
Finally, on 13 July, the famous Apéro des Frenchy returns to the Condamine Market, and on 26 July, the skies over Port Hercule will light up with fireworks, preceded by music and children’s entertainment.
In July, Monaco doesn’t take a break — it comes to life. Don’t miss your chance to experience it all.
