On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Princess Grace Hospital Center, H.S.H. Prince Albert II inaugurated the new premises of the Maison du don and the Anatomopathology Laboratory, located in the Belvédère Building, in the presence of Ministers of State Ms. Céline Caron-Dagioni and Mr. Christophe Robino, and Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, Director of CHPG.
This new facility, whose construction began in 2023, marks the first “drawer” operation within the broader project of the New CHPG.
The Sovereign Prince then visited the Maison du don, a space dedicated to blood donors in the Principality, emphasizing the importance of this altruistic act, which is vital to saving human lives. Among the new services offered is now the possibility to produce plasma.
Finally, H.S.H. Prince Albert II discovered the new anatomopathology department, essential for diagnosing numerous diseases, whether infectious, inflammatory, or cancerous.
In this context, the long-awaited molecular biology activity will be deployed, allowing for the sequencing of specific genes within a few hours for the diagnosis of many types of cancer and the implementation of individualized treatments for the benefit of Principality residents.
