As part of its sustainable mobility plan, the Monaco Government has confirmed that public buses will be free of charge in 2026 during major international events. Following a successful trial in 2025, this initiative aims to encourage residents and visitors to use public transport and reduce traffic congestion during peak periods.

The free service applies to the entire bus network operated by the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco, not just the routes serving event venues, ensuring widespread accessibility across the Principality.

Free bus dates in Monaco 2026

Public transport will be free during the following events:

  • Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters: April 6–10, 2026
  • Monaco Historic Grand Prix: April 24–26, 2026
  • Monaco E-Prix: May 16–17, 2026
  • Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix: June 1–8, 2026
  • Vuelta: August 22–23, 2026
  • Monaco Yacht Show & Luxe Pack: September 18–30, 2026

Sustainable mobility goals in Monaco

This initiative aims to improve urban mobility and reduce road congestion during high-attendance events, when the Principality experiences a significant increase in visitors and traffic.
