The Monaco Grand Prix will remain a fixed fixture on the Formula 1 calendar until 2035. The announcement extends by four years the agreement signed just last year, previously valid until 2031, securing the future of one of the most iconic and beloved races in the world.

With its Monte Carlo street circuit, which has regularly hosted Formula 1 since 1950, the Monaco GP is considered a unique event in international sport, combining spectacle, glamour, and tradition. Starting in 2025, the race will also be moved to June, a new slot in the calendar aimed at further enhancing its global appeal.

Words from the Key Figures

“The streets of Monaco have resonated with the sound of Formula 1 since the very early days of this sport,” said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1. “We are delighted to secure the future of this race until 2035. It is an iconic event, loved by drivers and fans alike, with an atmosphere that is truly unique thanks to the glamour of the Principality.”

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco highlighted the symbolic importance of the agreement: “The extension to 2035 reaffirms our deep connection with Formula 1 and a tradition that is part of the Principality’s history. This is a collective success and a testament to the excellence of our collaboration.”

Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club de Monaco, emphasized the race’s global significance: “Since 1929, we have worked to offer a unique spectacle, and this extension strengthens the inseparable bond between Monaco and Formula 1.”

A History That Continues

The Monaco GP is one of the three pillars of motorsport’s “Triple Crown”, alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its long-term confirmation on the calendar not only satisfies fans and industry professionals but also reinforces Monaco’s role as a global capital of racing and luxury.

With the extension until 2035, Monte Carlo ensures a bright future alongside Formula 1, continuing to write new chapters in a story that spans almost a century.
