Classic Fiat 500s are set to take centre stage once again on the roads of the Riviera. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the Club Fiat 500 Monte-Carlo will organise the 7th Promenade de fin d’été, an established event dedicated to vintage car enthusiasts and to discovering the landscapes and villages of the hinterland.

This seventh edition will have a particularly symbolic starting point: Place de la Mairie, in the heart of Monaco. The location reflects the Club’s longstanding relationship with Monaco’s Municipal authorities and its commitment to promoting classic cars and community activities within the Principality.

Starting from Place de la Mairie in Monaco

The classic Fiat 500s will gather from 8:30 am at Place de la Mairie, with the drive scheduled to start at 9:30 am.

Participation will deliberately remain limited, with approximately 10 to 12 historic Fiat 500s expected to take part, preserving the intimate and friendly spirit that has always characterised the event.

The choice of central Monaco as the starting point is more than a logistical decision. For the Club, it represents an opportunity to renew its connection with the Principality and its institutions, while highlighting the importance of associations and shared passion within the local community.

In previous editions, the event has also had the honour of being officially launched by the Mayor of Monaco, a gesture that has been particularly appreciated by Club members and seen as recognition of the association’s activities.

After leaving Monaco, the convoy of iconic Italian city cars will head towards the hinterland, following a scenic route through the Maritime Alps and Liguria.

One of the highlights of the itinerary will be the Col de Turini, a legendary destination for motoring and mountain-road enthusiasts.

The route has been designed to combine three key elements: a passion for classic cars, discovering the local landscape and enjoying time together.

The Fiat 500s will travel along panoramic roads and through small towns and villages in the hinterland, turning the drive into an opportunity to explore a part of the region that, away from the coast, preserves landscapes, villages and traditions deeply connected to the history of the Riviera.

The Fiat 500: an icon of Italian automotive history

Few cars have become as deeply rooted in the Italian collective imagination as the Fiat 500.

Launched in the 1950s as an affordable car designed to support Italy’s mass motorisation, the small Fiat gradually became an icon of Italian design and one of the most recognisable classic cars well beyond Italy.

Its ability to combine history, distinctive design and simplicity has made the Fiat 500 a favourite at classic car rallies and events around the world.

Through the Promenade de fin d’été, the Club Fiat 500 Monte-Carlo helps preserve this heritage by creating opportunities for collectors and enthusiasts of different generations to meet and share their passion.

A drive combining motoring passion and the Riviera landscape

The event is much more than a simple classic-car outing.

Its aim is to bring together historic motoring, tourism, landscapes and social interaction. Driving a vintage Fiat 500 along the roads of the Riviera also means rediscovering a slower and more authentic way of experiencing the region.

The journey towards the Col de Turini will allow participants to alternate driving with stops and views across the natural landscapes and villages of the hinterland, in an atmosphere fuelled by a shared passion for historic automobiles.

A special connection with the Principality of Monaco

The choice of Place de la Mairie as the starting point also highlights the special relationship between the Club Fiat 500 Monte-Carlo and Monaco.

For the association, the Principality represents a natural home and an important reference point for its activities. Bringing the classic Fiat 500s into the heart of Monaco is therefore also a tribute to the city and to its support for associations and initiatives that contribute to community life.

The Promenade de fin d’été thus becomes another opportunity to strengthen the connection between the world of classic cars and Monaco’s vibrant community and association network.

An event for classic-car enthusiasts

The 7th Promenade de fin d’été organised by the Club Fiat 500 Monte-Carlo will offer enthusiasts and the public an opportunity to admire a selection of historic Fiat 500s and meet people who share a passion for vintage automobiles.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, with the meeting point at Place de la Mairie in Monaco from 8:30 am and departure scheduled for 9:30 am.

From the streets of the Principality to the spectacular landscapes of the hinterland and the Col de Turini, it promises to be a day celebrating Italian automotive heritage while exploring one of the most fascinating areas between the French Riviera, the Maritime Alps and Liguria.
