Blue Wake™ Awards 2026: 15 Finalists Competing for Sustainability and Innovation in the Superyacht Industry

The countdown to the Blue Wake™ Awards 2026 has officially begun. Following a careful selection process, 15 finalists have been chosen to compete for the awards dedicated to innovation and sustainability in the superyacht industry.

The 2026 edition received 71 applications as part of the Blue Wake™ programme. Of these, 60 projects were validated and accepted for the selection process, with 15 subsequently shortlisted as finalists across five categories.

The projects selected represent some of the most interesting solutions being developed to help the yachting industry move towards a more environmentally responsible model, through new technologies, sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems and initiatives focused on protecting marine ecosystems.

Five Categories Celebrating Sustainable Innovation

The Blue Wake™ Awards 2026 finalists cover a wide range of areas, from luxury products and services to marine technologies, shipyards, tenders and services related to yacht charter and management.

The diversity of the shortlisted projects highlights how the transition towards more sustainable yachting now involves virtually every part of the superyacht value chain.

Luxury Services and Products

The category dedicated to luxury services and products features three projects combining quality, design and environmental awareness:

• Progetti su Misura, with GreenCast, a cast acrylic material made using recycled monomers (R-MMA), designed for yacht interiors, joinery and special finishes;
• Heirlooms England, a Royal Warrant holder specialising in sustainable bed linen and fabrics for yacht interiors;
• Cuir Marin, offering leather produced through a responsible manufacturing process focused on reducing environmental impact.

Nautical Supplier

The second category highlights technologies and solutions designed to improve vessel efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

The finalists are:

• CMC Marine, with an energy recovery system;

• TABU Spa, with a wood-based coating designed to support biodiversity;
• Termodinamica, with direct-expansion marine air-conditioning systems based on inverter heat-pump technology.

Shipyard Construction and Refit

The category dedicated to shipyards focuses on sustainability through infrastructure, production processes and innovative solutions applied directly to vessels.

The finalists are:

• Amico & Co., the Genoa-based shipyard specialising in sustainable superyacht refit, with a 1 MW photovoltaic system, full shore-power facilities, permanent high-energy-efficiency sheds, an on-site wastewater treatment plant and a waste-management system divided into 25 categories;
• Ares Yachts, with the Simena cruising ketch;
• Sunreef Yachts, with Sunreef Solar Skin, an integrated 33.77 kWp composite photovoltaic system installed on the Sunreef 80 Sailing Eco catamaran, designed to reduce the need for diesel-generated electricity on board.

Nautical Toys: The Most Innovative Tenders

The superyacht tender segment also features prominently among the Blue Wake™ Awards 2026 finalists, with three projects focusing on electrification, efficient design and full life-cycle assessment.

The finalists are:

• Gare d’Appalto Evene, with the Evene Origin 57 and 71 tenders;
• Pascoe International, with a fully electric limousine tender and a hull optimised for the electric limousine platform;
• Tykun, with the TYKUN X and TYKUN XII tenders, developed following a comprehensive life-cycle assessment, from production to disposal, and accompanied by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

Yacht Charter, Brokerage and Rental Services

The fifth category focuses on yacht charter and management services, demonstrating that sustainable innovation is also extending to the operational side of the industry and the overall user experience.

The three finalists are:

• ETYC, with a digital platform for the sector;
• Kongsberg Maritime, with an integrated energy-management and navigation-assistance system;
• Marina Ibiza, for its project dedicated to the restoration of Posidonia seagrass meadows, vital ecosystems for Mediterranean marine biodiversity.

Special Jury Award

Alongside the five main categories, a Special Jury Award will also be presented to a yacht selected directly by the jury.

The additional award will provide another highlight of the ceremony, putting the spotlight on a project considered particularly significant for its innovation, sustainability or potential to represent the future of the sector.

Blue Wake™ Awards 2026: The Winners to Be Announced Ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show

Attention will now turn to the announcement of the winners. The names of the Blue Wake™ Awards 2026 winners will be revealed one week before the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the world’s leading events for the superyacht industry, which will take place from September 23 to 26, 2026.

The 15 shortlisted projects provide a snapshot of an industry undergoing significant change. Sustainability is no longer limited to propulsion and energy consumption, but increasingly encompasses materials, infrastructure, production processes, services, resource management and the protection of marine ecosystems.

The Blue Wake™ Awards are therefore set to recognise the companies and projects seeking to turn environmental innovation into concrete solutions for luxury yachting, while highlighting possible new directions for the future of the superyacht industry.
