MONACO — A comprehensive training programme designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the international superyacht industry and the professional skills required in the sector. This is the goal of the Yachting Masterclass 2026, organised by La Belle Classe Academy, the training centre of the Yacht Club de Monaco. The programme will begin on Wednesday, September 16 and run until Saturday, November 14, 2026.
Over nine weeks, the course offers a cross-disciplinary overview of the yachting industry, connecting the technical, commercial, managerial and legal aspects that define an increasingly complex international sector.
The Yachting Masterclass is designed to provide participants with a 360-degree understanding of the superyacht industry. The programme begins with an analysis of the market and its key players before moving into specialist areas related to yacht design, construction and management.
Key topics include the superyacht market and yacht owners, naval architecture and engineering, shipyards and construction, exterior and interior design, classification and flags, maritime law, yacht ownership, insurance, Family Offices, refit, marinas, charter, yacht sales and yacht management.
Classes will take place online on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. Participants completing the full programme will receive a certificate during a closing ceremony.
The course is aimed both at professionals already working in the industry and at those looking to enter the sector or broaden their professional prospects.
Potential participants include yachting professionals, crew members interested in developing a shore-based career, students and professionals working in industries connected to yachting and luxury.
The programme is also relevant to brokers, designers, yacht managers, suppliers, lawyers, insurance companies, banking and Family Office professionals, as well as members of the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Monaco Yachting Cluster.
One of the programme’s key strengths is the opportunity to understand how the different professionals involved in the life of a superyacht work together — from design and construction to ownership and management, as well as charter, sales and refit.
Established in 2015 by the Yacht Club de Monaco, La Belle Classe Academy is a training centre dedicated to professional development in the yachting sector. Its programmes cover a range of fields, from navigation and hospitality to etiquette, onboard protocol and management.
The Yachting Masterclass is certified by the International Association of Maritime Institutions (IAMI), while several of the Academy’s technical courses are certified by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).
Training is one of the areas through which the Yacht Club de Monaco aims to promote the transmission of expertise and a deeper understanding of careers connected to the sea and the international yachting industry.
The Academy’s commitment to developing future professionals continued in March 2026 with the first edition of the Yachting Student Fair, an event dedicated to introducing young people to career opportunities in yachting and the maritime industry.
The event brought together more than 800 students and recent graduates, giving them the opportunity to learn more about careers and professional pathways within the maritime and yachting sectors.
Against this backdrop, the Yachting Masterclass forms part of a broader strategy: creating training and professional development opportunities capable of supporting the evolution of an industry in which technical expertise, management skills and market knowledge are increasingly interconnected.
The 2026 edition of the Yachting Masterclass will be held in English.
The fee for the complete online programme is €3,200, including VAT, while individual online modules cost €259, including VAT.
Special rates are available for members of the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Monaco Yachting Cluster, students of the International University of Monaco and members of Young Professionals in Yachting. Specific conditions are also available for companies enrolling multiple participants.
The programme will begin on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, and conclude on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Over nine weeks, participants will explore the main areas of the international superyacht industry through a structured, multidisciplinary programme.
