The bay of Cannes is preparing to host one of the most spectacular nights of the summer on the French Riviera. On Tuesday 14 July 2026 at 10 pm, marking France’s National Day, the Cannes International Fireworks Festival 2026 will officially open, once again confirming its reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious fireworks competitions.

The opening performance will be presented by the Polish company Nakaja Art, with the pyromusical show “Ad astra ex amore”, created by Pawel Krzyzanowski. A spectacular artistic performance where fireworks and music come together to tell an emotional story celebrating the universal power of love.

“Ad astra ex amore”: a journey from human emotions to the stars

The title of the show, meaning “Towards the stars through love”, captures the essence of the entire performance.

The production explores the moment when love is born, a powerful force capable of transforming human experience, elevating the spirit and symbolically leading people towards a higher dimension.

Through a sequence of light effects, fireworks and musical emotions, the sky above Cannes will become a vast storytelling canvas where real stars meet those created by pyrotechnics.

The audience will be guided through a journey of desire, attraction, distance, nostalgia and discovery, culminating in a final moment of connection and shared emotion.

A dialogue between French elegance and Polish influences

One of the distinctive elements of “Ad astra ex amore” is the artistic dialogue between music and cultural identities.

French influences evoke elegance, memory and romance, while Polish inspirations bring depth and introspection to the narrative.

This cultural fusion will accompany the evolution of the show until the finale, where the search for love reaches its ultimate destination through harmony and unity.
