The Menton 2026 summer season is enriched by a brand-new event dedicated to social life, music and open-air experiences. The city introduces “Menton en terrasse”, a new concept designed to bring the town centre to life during summer evenings, offering residents and visitors a unique atmosphere combining seaside walks, markets, music and moments of togetherness.
The summer programme also includes several civic and traditional events, such as the mayor’s public meeting with residents, the ceremony celebrating students who achieved honours in the French baccalauréat exam, and the traditional Bazaï Festival, one of Menton’s most anticipated summer celebrations.
The first edition of “Menton en terrasse” will take place on Thursday 16 July 2026, with events continuing every Thursday until 20 August 2026.
The initiative aims to highlight Menton’s town centre by creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere involving local businesses, restaurants and visitors.
The evenings will feature:
From 7:30 pm, the Promenade du Soleil will be closed to traffic between allée de la B.A. 943 and Trenca roundabout, turning the area into a pedestrian-friendly space dedicated to summer entertainment.
From 8 pm, the Promenade de la Mer will host a musical evening featuring DJ Alan, creating a lively atmosphere for locals and tourists.

The summer calendar also includes a public meeting with the mayor, scheduled for Friday 17 July 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm in the City Hall Council Chamber.
This initiative gives residents the opportunity to meet directly with municipal representatives and discuss topics related to everyday life in Menton.
The discussions will cover issues including:
An opportunity to strengthen dialogue between local authorities and citizens.
Also on Friday 17 July, at 5:30 pm, the City Hall Council Chamber will host a ceremony dedicated to students who achieved honours in the French baccalauréat examination.
The event will recognise their commitment, hard work and academic achievements, celebrating the success of young graduates and their educational journey.
The evening of 17 July will conclude with one of Menton’s most popular summer events: the Bazaï Festival.
The celebration will begin at 7 pm on Esplanade Francis-Palmero with the traditional soupe au pistou, prepared by the A Ciocoula association and offered free of charge to the public.
Visitors are invited to bring their own bowl and cutlery to enjoy this traditional shared meal.
The evening will continue with a live music performance by Sébastien El Chato, offering a festive celebration for families, residents and visitors.
To preserve the spirit of the event, organisers invite participants to wear white and blue clothing along with the traditional bandana, symbols of the festival’s identity and traditions.

With “Menton en terrasse”, civic initiatives and the Bazaï Festival, Menton confirms its appeal as a summer destination where culture, entertainment and community spirit come together.
The Menton summer programme 2026 offers many opportunities to experience the city in a different way, from seaside evenings and musical events to celebrations that highlight local traditions and community life.
