Monaco celebrates floral art: all the winners of the 57th International Bouquet Competition

Great success in the Principality for the 57th International Bouquet Competition, the renowned event organized by the Garden Club of Monaco that every year attracts floral artists, designers, and enthusiasts from across Europe. The 2026 edition, dedicated to the general theme “Céleste”, transformed Monaco into a poetic universe inspired by the sky, stars, and natural phenomena.

The competition rewarded creativity, technique, and elegance through several artistic categories featuring participants from Monaco, France, and Italy. Among floral scenographies, contemporary arrangements, and celestial-inspired decorations, visitors were able to admire original creations combining botanical art and design.

Winners of the main categories of the 2026 International Bouquet Competition

In the “L’Orage” category, dedicated to large-scale floral compositions, the Gold Insignia was awarded to Frédérique de Chambure of the Garden Club of Monaco and Maryse Gras of MG Fleurs & Création, France. The Silver Insignia went to Nathalie and Dominique Roussel of Parfums & Couleurs, while a special mention was awarded to Claudia Sigismondi and Manco Consuelo of the Italian association Ragazze du Descu.

In the “Luminescence Lunaire” category, dedicated to pedestal floral compositions, the Gold Insignia was awarded to Fabienne Obry of Emotions Florales Bordeaux, who also won the prestigious Grand Prix Général – Prix Princesse Grace de Monaco, the competition’s highest honor.

In the “Une Eclipse” category, dedicated to free-style compositions, first prize went to Italian artist Francesca Barinci from SIAF Livorno, followed by Mara Ballotta of the Garden Club Camilla Malvasia Bologna and Mirella Scianda of IIDFA EDFA Sanremo.

Italy also triumphed in the “Dîner sous les étoiles” category, dedicated to floral table decorations, where Federico Silvestri from Alassio won the Gold Insignia.

Special awards celebrating originality and elegance

Among the most prestigious special awards, the Prize for Originality in Interpretation, presented by Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, was awarded to Cinzia Ceria from Italy.

The Prize for Elegance in Composition was awarded to Mara Ballotta, while the Prize for Harmony of Colors went to Monika Siegwart of Emotions Florales Bordeaux.

The competition also highlighted young talents from Monaco. In the children and youth categories, young artists showcased remarkable creativity, with Sacha Blasco and Charlène Barois winning their respective divisions.

The Humor Prize, presented by Stéphane Valeri, President Delegate of the Société des Bains de Mer, was awarded to young participant Sacha Blasco.

“Monaco en fleurs”: awards for the best floral shop windows

The event also hosted the second edition of “Monaco en fleurs”, a competition dedicated to floral window displays across the Principality.

The first prize was awarded to the House of Denim boutique, represented by Nadine Lauro. Monaco Elegance won second place, while Eleven Monte-Carlo received third prize. The Special Jury Prize was awarded to Joe Aoun Design.

With an edition marked by strong international participation, creativity, and artistic refinement, the International Bouquet Competition once again confirms Monaco as a leading European destination for floral art.

Organizers have already announced the next edition, with the 58th International Bouquet Competition scheduled for 2027.
