On the occasion of the Saint Devota celebrations, scheduled for Monday, January 26, 2026, the Administration has implemented a series of organizational and security measures affecting road traffic and public access to the various stages of the event: the procession (Quai des États-Unis / route de la piscine), the ceremony in Place Sainte Devota, and the burning of the boat on Quai Albert Ier.
From 5:30 p.m., security checkpoints will be in place, including visual inspections of bags and containers, along with designated public areas:
Place Sainte Devota, for those wishing to attend the procession and the Blessing of the Most Holy Sacrament.
Northern section of Quai Albert Ier, for spectators attending the burning of the boat.
Passengers using the railway station are advised that, from 5:30 p.m., pedestrian access through the Sainte-Devota valley will be closed.
The Sainte Devota stairways will also be closed from the same time.
Travelers are invited to use the Sainte-Devota gallery to reach or leave the station via Rue Grimaldi.
From 6:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the route de la piscine will be closed to traffic between Avenue J.F. Kennedy and the Jules Soccal landing stage.
Between 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., temporary traffic interruptions will occur on Boulevard Albert Ier, Avenue J.F. Kennedy, and Avenue d’Ostende to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Disruptions and service changes are expected on urban bus lines (1, 2, 3, and 6) and interurban services (ZOU! lines No. 600 and No. 80) during the above-mentioned traffic restrictions.
Regarding public parking facilities, information on access changes or detours will be provided directly to users through notices posted at parking entrances.
The Administration kindly asks residents and visitors to plan their journeys in advance and thanks them for their understanding and cooperation.
