“Genèse”: Anca Sonia’s Journey Between Myth and Movement

A constant dialogue between power and delicacy, realism and myth: this is the essence of “Genèse”, Anca Sonia’s new exhibition in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

From 5 to 14 September 2025, Espace Neptune will welcome visitors to an immersive journey into the artist’s figurative universe, populated by horses, bulls, and mythological creatures, symbols of a transfigured humanity.

Anca Sonia’s works go beyond naturalistic representation: at the heart of her research is Movement, conceived as a vital force and the very foundation of existence.

Lines with an almost archaic character intertwine with refined expressiveness, giving the subjects a presence that is both solid and ethereal. Muscles become poetry, and impulse turns into a whisper.

The exhibition also stands out for its participatory dimension: in addition to the display, the artist will reveal the creative process behind her works, offering the public a live “making-of” experience.

The opening takes place on Thursday, 4 September at 6 PM. Admission is free.
