Starting on 17 July 2025, Monaco’s eastern district welcomes a new weekly event that promises to become a staple for both residents and visitors: Le Petit Marché du Larvotto. Every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Esplanade at Larvotto – near the Lartigue fountain – will come alive with a small open-air market offering fresh, seasonal products in a friendly and community-oriented atmosphere.
The initiative, led by Marjorie Crovetto – Deputy Mayor and Delegate for Public Spaces, Trade, Markets and Halls – is part of Monaco’s broader plan to revitalise neighbourhoods and enhance local services. The goal is to make everyday shopping more accessible, sustainable, and tailored to the needs of the community.
Each week, the market will feature a selection of local vendors and a fruit and vegetable grower, with special attention to organic and seasonal produce. More than just a place to shop, this market aims to strengthen social bonds and support local commerce.
With its opening, Le Petit Marché du Larvotto joins Monaco’s existing municipal markets – Monte-Carlo, La Condamine, and Monaco-Ville – further expanding access to fresh goods across the Principality. A home delivery service will also be available, managed by the Service du Domaine Communal, to assist those with reduced mobility or transportation challenges.
Le Petit Marché du Larvotto is more than a new shopping spot – it’s an invitation to experience the neighbourhood differently, embracing local traditions and sustainability in a vibrant and welcoming setting. A new step toward a more caring, connected, and dynamic Monaco.
