This Friday, June 13, students from Condamine Primary School visited the A Quietüdine Residence to share a special gardening moment with the residents.
This meeting is part of a partnership between the Terrae association, the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and Monaco Telecom.
Throughout the year, around sixty students from the Condamine school regularly participate in gardening activities with the elderly.
Similarly, Parc School is running a similar project with the Rainier III Centre (CRIII), where about fifty kindergarten students take part in intergenerational encounters.
Around the raised vegetable beds installed at the CRIII and A Quietüdine, children and seniors share a moment of mutual learning.
Together, they explore aromatic plants, seeds, helpful insects, seasonal cycles, and planting techniques.
Led by the Terrae association, the activity stimulates the senses, strengthens memory, and encourages cooperation.
These workshops are financially supported by the Sancta Devota Foundation, which backs this educational, social, and intergenerational initiative.
Other meetings are scheduled in the coming weeks, always with the same spirit of nature, knowledge-sharing, and intergenerational connection.
