The Regional Museum of Prehistory presents its new exhibition, titled ‘Origins of Sport: Being Strong and Agile in Prehistory and Antiquity.’ An exploration of the evolutionary journey of the human body, from its primate origins to becoming the aesthetic model celebrated by the ancient Greeks.
The exhibition spans millions of years of evolution, from the acquisition of bipedalism to the practice of Olympic athletics. A captivating journey through time that culminates in the analysis of how strength and agility have been fundamental elements since the early stages of human history.
The exhibition will be open to the public from February 17, 2024, at the Regional Museum of Prehistory on Rue Lorédan-Larchey. Accessible every day except Tuesday, and closed only on January 1, May 1, and December 25. The ticket cost is €3 (free for visitors under 18 years old)
