Talk: Rebecca Stott
Dark Earth: The Challenges of Writing Historical Fiction
We are delighted to welcome Rebecca Stott, an award-winning British writer, historian, and broadcaster. Her family memoir, In the Days of Rain, won the Costa Biography prize in 2017.
Rebecca has published three historical novels, the latest being Dark Earth, in which two Saxon sisters are on the run in the derelict sixth-century city of Londinium.

8th E – Monte Carlo Rally
The electric version of the Monte Carlo Rally will be present in Sospel on its route from Col de Brouis via Sospel to the famous Col de Turini.
With a secret route that includes 14 special regularity stages (SR) and a total of over 250 kilometers of timed trials, this eighth edition of the 100% electric Monte Carlo Rally promises to be much tougher than the previous one!

Chestnut Festival
Every year, the Comité du Vieux Tende organizes a ball for the chestnut festival, featuring traditional music, courenta, and baleti.
This year’s program:
- 11:00 AM: Mass for classes 4 and 9 at Saint Michel Church.
- 12:00 PM: Aperitif offered to the classes – Place de la Mairie
- 7:00 PM: Dinner – Salle du Temps Libre (reservation required)
- 10:00 PM: Grand ball with the Quartetto Cocozoo Ballet and chestnut tasting – Salle du Temps Libre
