AN AFTERNOON OF IMMERSIVE ENTERTAINMENT. Seychelles’ Honorary Consul in Monaco invites you to a celebration of Seychelles in the Mediterranean Garden of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Discover the islands’ beauty and treasures, and learn about the importance of protecting our environment with a series of activities open to all, including arts and crafts, food tasting, eco-awareness, and cultural exchanges for all ages 7 and over. Exhibition – “Concrete beaches, artificial landscapes”

The collective exhibition CONCRETE BEACHES, ARTIFICIAL LANDSCAPES is built around a hypothetical – abstract, metaphysical, uncertain scenario. Visitors should consider it as a fictional story in which everyone can insert their own allegory of a shared future. Each piece and object animate these imagined futures, sometimes already realized. Inspired by the sparkling fantasies of J.G. Ballard’s first short story collection, Vermillion Sands (1973), the exhibition aims to stimulate the imagination around hybrid narratives.

From Saturday, June 1 to Sunday, June 30, 2024, Lobby of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort DREAM OF A NEW WORLD AND LEAVE A MESSAGE OF HOPE. Imagine a new world and a completely new way of living. A daydream. A revolution. Marie-Laure Viébel presents her latest creation, “RÊVOLUTION”, inspired by the iconic sea nut of the Seychelles in the lobby of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. The exhibition is a striking dialogue between man and nature. The seed, a powerful symbol of fertility and the cycle of life, here decorated in gold to represent sacredness, becomes a mailbox where anyone can leave a message of hope. Express your deepest feelings in the form of a wish, dream, prayer, or commitment.


Environment – “Monaco Zero Cigarette Butts”

Several “MégotBox” (stations for collecting and recycling cigarette butts) are located in front of certain municipal sites: the Monaco City Hall, the Higher School of Plastic Arts – Pavilion Bosio, the Rainier III Academy, the José Notari Videotheque-Phonotheque, the Louis Notari Library, the Rainier III Nautical Stadium, the Léo Ferré Space, the Condamine Market, the Monte-Carlo Market. This initiative aims to protect the environment.

Exhibition – “The Ice Giants”

From Wednesday, April 10 to Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, polar bears and emperor penguins are the main protagonists of “The Ice Giants”, a new exhibition by Michel Bassompierre. Seven monumental works will be installed in the Oceanographic Museum and on its panoramic terrace. Five of them will be new creations: four polar bears and a three-meter-high emperor penguin. Drawings and original sketches will also be displayed, accompanied by a film presenting the artist’s work. This temporary exhibition is part of the Polar Mission organized by the Oceanographic Institute since 2022.

Exhibition – “Lascaux à Monaco”

From Friday, April 19 to Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology, an original scenography organized around facsimiles and an immersive Virtual Reality experience thanks to #SPL LASCAUX, exclusive thanks to the Museum’s Partners. Original objects from the Lascaux cave on display, on loan from the National Museum of Prehistory (Les Eyzies, Dordogne) and the Institute of Human Paleontology (Paris) and also… Hyper-realistic reconstructions of 5 Cro-Magnons made by Elisabeth Daynes, a 1/10 scale model of the Lascaux cave with prehistoric paintings and lighting, and interactive low-tech tables and manipulatives.


Event – “150th Anniversary of the Hôtel de Paris Wine Cellars”

The Cabinet of Wonders – “The Early Years of Télé Monte-Carlo, 1954-1974” – An exhibition that explores the first 20 years of Monaco’s television channel launched in 1954. A selection of archives and objects will take you back in time to the very early days of colour television. Organized by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco, the exhibition features objects entrusted by Télé Monte-Carlo for safekeeping, documents from partner institutions, and materials kindly provided by individuals.

Exhibition – “Pasolini in Chiaroscuro”

From Friday, March 29 to Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Sauber The new exhibition at Villa Sauber pays tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini, perhaps the last European intellectual to gain worldwide fame. Fifty years after his death, his influence is still felt in the various fields in which he worked: he is read, commented on, adapted, and inspires contemporary creative artists. Although he preferred to call himself a writer, it was his films that brought him to the public’s attention. The exhibition explores his inspirations and legacy.

Exhibition – “The Prince and the Mediterranean”

From December 6, 2023, Oceanographic Museum of Monaco On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Prince Rainier III (1923-2023), the Oceanographic Museum presents the new permanent exhibition entitled “The Prince and the Mediterranean”. Through this exhibition, the Oceanographic Institute pays tribute to the unwavering bond that united Prince Rainier III to the Ocean, and particularly to the Mediterranean. Visitors are invited to board his boat Deo Juvante II. Guided by the voice of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, they will move through four exploratory and intimate spaces, discovering one after another the different facets of this Prince passionate about the Mare Nostrum.
