Fire is the result of a chemical reaction but has always fascinated humans. The first real traces of fireplaces date back 400,000 years and testify to the domestic use of fire by humans. Today, this vital element is taken for granted. However, it marks a turning point in human evolution.

EXHIBITION – A MASTERPIECE OF HIS OWN: MONET AT THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

In 2024, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, the exhibition “Paris 1874. Inventing Impressionism” will be held in Paris and over 30 French museums. The Musée des Beaux-Arts Jules Chéret will present a masterpiece by Claude Monet.
EXHIBITION – MARTINE DOYTIER, UNE RÉTROSPECTIVE

This exhibition is the first retrospective dedicated to Martine Doytier. It brings together all her known works to date.
Martine Doytier was an artist in Nice from 1971 to 1984. Over thirteen years, she developed a captivating body of work.
Her keen eye and ability to sketch characters and tell their stories produced a continuously evolving corpus of works and led her to undertake what would be her final unfinished work: “L’Autoportrait,” a painting she worked on for five years that passionately describes her daily world.

EXHIBITION TOUR
In an immersive and interactive scenography, the Les Elles des Jeux exhibition retraces over 130 years of our contemporary society through the stories of emblematic women with exemplary destinies. The exhibition is divided into 6 sections, both chronological and thematic. With “Elles ne sont pas les bienvenues,” the exhibition begins its time travel with the first modern Olympic Games.
