The 2nd edition of “Caregivers’ Day” will take place on Tuesday, October 15, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, at the Rainier III Clinical Geriatrics Center.
Come and meet the professionals from the Geriatric Department of the Princess Hospital through various stands and practical workshops: Occupational therapist, Nurse, Psychologist, Doctor, Physiotherapist, Speech therapist, Social worker, and Associations will be present to answer all your questions.
Being a caregiver means regularly and frequently assisting a person with loss of autonomy, due to age, illness, or disability, so they can carry out all or part of their daily activities. Sometimes, it even means living and acting in the immediate surroundings of the sick and suffering person, making it difficult to take care of one’s own well-being. Whether you’re a parent, spouse, or friend, it is a daily commitment, often silent but essential for the person you’re assisting. It requires time, energy, stress, and often leads to self-neglect.
Do you feel the need for information, advice, and support to best accompany your frail loved one? Whether you’re a family or professional caregiver, this day is dedicated to you.
