On Wednesday, June 19, in the presence of Florence Ferrari, Secretary General of the Department of the Interior, Françoise Gamerdinger, Director of Cultural Affairs of Monaco, Julien Burle, Deputy Director, and Gilles Marsan, Head of Musical Programming, the Department of Cultural Affairs unveiled the new season of the Théâtre du Fort Antoine in Monaco.
From July 2 to 30, the public is invited to discover the 2024 edition, dedicated to theater and music. The Department of Cultural Affairs has designed an eclectic and high-quality season characterized by a convivial and festive atmosphere.
This year, for the first time, the program includes 4 concerts. On July 2, the duo Fred and Nico Dumani (vocals and guitar), two talented artists from Porto-Vecchio, will perform in a Corsican-themed evening. Ana Carla Maza (July 12) and Clara Ysé (July 23), artists from diverse backgrounds, will present their latest albums in two highly anticipated concerts.
On July 25, Baptiste Trottignon, one of the leading artists on the international jazz scene, will perform with his trio, presenting an album of rock covers infused with jazz.
Regarding live theater, the program, in line with previous editions, includes several notable performances. On July 5, Jérôme Rouger will explore the role of the artist in today’s society with “En cas de péril imminent”. On July 16, the theatrical and dance performance “Le Tir Sacré” by Marine Colard will offer a tribute to the Olympic Games. The season will close on July 30 with the one-man show “Parler pointu” by Benjamin Tholosan, which will address the theme of regional accents.
Finally, for the second consecutive year, on July 19, an open stage will be held for young artists from the Principality, who will be invited to showcase their talent at Fort Antoine in the fields of theater, music, circus arts, and visual arts.
