The most beautiful and important week of the year in the Principality of Monaco began yesterday, Monday, May 20. Every year, the country, buzzing with excitement at least a month before the event, literally transforms into the most cosmopolitan and welcoming place in the world.
We’re talking, of course, about the Monaco Grand Prix of Formula 1, an event that captures the attention of the entire sports world and beyond, thanks to the glamour that always surrounds the F1 circus in our small state. At the Automobile Club of Monaco, which has always organized the race, everything is ready. The first mega caravans of the various teams have arrived and will continue to do so in the coming hours, turning the paddocks along Quai Antoine Ier and the entire Port Hercule quay into a giant open-air paddock.
Naturally, the greatest attention and anticipation are for the local hero: last weekend, Charles Leclerc climbed to the third step of the podium at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver also secured second place in the overall standings with 113 points and now hopes to achieve the ultimate dream for himself and the Monegasques: winning the race in his home country in front of his fans.
