This Thursday, February 15, at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, the traditional press conference for the presentation of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters was held. The tournament will take place this year from April 6 to 14, 2024, on the legendary clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, under the presidency of Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy. In front of numerous guests, including Patrice Cellario, Government Counselor – Minister of the Interior, and Andrea Gaudenzi, president of the ATP, as well as partners and journalists, the Tournament Director, David Massey, unveiled the major innovations of this 117th edition.

During his speech, the Tournament Director presented the figures and performances of the 2023 edition (over 140,000 visitors, 38.4 million viewers, and 167.1 million views on social media), but above all, the novelties of this upcoming edition: the launch of a “click & collect” service for fast food, modification of the sea-side grandstand of Court Rainier III to create additional lodges, creation of a new covered catering area, a new partnership with France Télévisions that will broadcast 1 match per day on its france.tv platform and the final on France 4, in addition to the broadcast of all matches on Eurosport France. David Massey also announced that the Tournament is once again supporting the GEMLUC association (Groupement des entreprises monégasques dans la lutte contre le cancer), which finances research and state-of-the-art equipment.

Regarding the players’ participation, David Massey specifies that “the final list will be unveiled in Paris on March 12 during a press conference.” As for ticket sales, nearly 130,000 tickets have already been sold, and it is likely that Italian fans will be, as every year, present, especially now that Jannik Sinner has just won the Australian Open.

Organized by the Société Monégasque pour l’Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis (S.M.E.T.T.), the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first ATP Tour Masters 1000 tennis tournament on clay for the season and, in a way, marks the beginning of the summer season on the French Riviera.

The draw will take place on Friday, April 5, at 6 pm and will be broadcast live on Monaco Info as well as on the channel’s and the tournament’s Facebook page.
