On Friday, April 5th, at 8 p.m., an exceptional concert featuring pianist Varduhi Yeritsyan will take place at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.

Varduhi Yeritsyan, a Franco-Armenian pianist, was trained at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, where she has also been a lecturer since 2011. With a vast repertoire, she completed her studies under Brigitte Engerer, a true mentor to her, and won the Avant-Scènes competition at the CNSMD in Paris. Subsequently, she received recognition from the Natixis Foundation – Banque Populaire and was named Classical Revelation by Adami in 2007.

Invited to numerous festivals, including Folle Journée de Nantes, La Roque d’Anthéron, and Piano aux Jacobins de Toulouse, she has performed on prestigious French and international stages such as the Cité de la Musique in Paris, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Czech Philharmonic.

Renowned for her interpretations of Alexandre Scriabin’s works, of which she regularly performs the complete Piano Sonatas recorded at Paraty, she is also a passionate chamber musician, collaborating with artists like the Danel Quartet, Renaud Capuçon, Marc Coppey, François-Frédéric Guy, and Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian.

Highly regarded as a soloist, she has played under the direction of conductors such as Alain Altinoglu, Fabien Gabel, Bruno Mantovani, or Tugan Sokhiev, with orchestras including Île-de-France, the BBC in London, Casa da Música in Porto, and Capitole in Toulouse.

The concert will be preceded by the conference “Robert Schumann’s Piano Music” presented by Bruno Mantovani, artistic director of the festival, and Brigitte François-Sappey, musicologist.
