Parade of Floats
Opening Parade
Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
King, Queen, Carnavallon, carnival and flowered floats, musical troops, dancers, foreign guests… a lineup of Carnival performers gathers to present themselves to the public! The flower battle floats, combined with the grand procession, create a spectacle rich in colors and music.

Illuminated Floats Parade
In the evening, the floats adorn themselves with their most beautiful lights. Everything lights up, visual animations multiply, artistic and musical companies that animate the route offer you a true spectacle of sounds and lights.
This grand show takes place on Saturday and Tuesday evenings from 8:30 PM and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Daytime Floats Parade
Numerous decorated and animated floats in line with the season’s theme parade to the rhythm of street art companies and musical groups from various backgrounds and around the world, all in a colorful, festive, and family-friendly atmosphere.
The best option for families and children! During the day, witness the parade of allegorical floats and large heads and spend a festive and colorful afternoon in the imaginary and magical world of Ymagiers and carnival masters.
This prestigious show takes place in the afternoon and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
With the participation of La Parada Nissarda.
Battle of Flowers
Floats adorned with floral compositions form an elegant procession, where characters in extraordinary costumes, music, scents, and colors blend for the pleasure of the eyes!
Every year, actresses in costume parade on floats adorned with beautiful flowers and throw a floral rain on the audience.
The shows take place on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday afternoons and last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

LOU QUEERNAVAL
The first gay carnival in France, rooted in the Nice carnival tradition, is a popular event open to all. It is committed to promoting the values of sharing, inclusion, and living together!
What other event can bring together the most talented Nissarde batucadas, the most dazzling drag queens, and many artists conveying a great universal message of sharing and benevolence in the same show?
More than 150 carnival volunteers, dressed in the most surprising costumes, set the tone for this exceptional evening under the theme of the King of pop culture!
A unique LGBTQIA+ tradition in France
Since its launch in 2015, Lou Queernaval has attracted spectators from all regions of France and from around the world, marking the beginning of a weekend of exceptional celebrations.
This unique and free event in France is proposed by the LGBTQIA+ community of Nice in close collaboration with the City of Nice and the Metropole Nice Côte d’Azur.
Open to all, Lou Queernaval, the first gay carnival in France, is committed to keeping alive the great popular tradition of the Nice Carnival with humility and a touch of madness!

Experience the burning of the King on Quai des États Unis and his fireworks show!
Appointment at Quai des États-Unis, in front of the Opera beach.
On March 3, schedule:
– 10:00 AM: Musical animations
– 11:00 AM: Parade of typical boats with the sailors of “La Mouette”
– 11:45 AM: Appointment for the grand return of the Carnival Swim (Opera beach). Participants are invited to come dressed up, adding a festive touch to their swimwear!
– 12:00 PM: Speeches and buffet – On-site registrations – Free participation
