Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2024
Monaco, April 8, 2024. The Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW), the official fashion event of the Principality of Monaco, returns enriched with innovations and with an increasingly international dimension.
Twelfth edition will take place from April 22 to 26, 2024, presenting resort, cruise, and capsule collections.
The event gains prestige year after year thanks to a rich calendar that combines fashion shows and creator presentations with important moments of reflection on the main themes related to circularity, sustainability, inclusion, and diversity.
“We are proud to support Monegasque brands while offering creators and international fashion personalities the Principality of Monaco as a prestigious platform to showcase their collections and discuss the importance of sustainable and circular fashion,” said Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of the Monaco Fashion Chamber and the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week.
In previous editions, the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week has seen the participation of brands and personalities such as Naomi Campbell, Alberta Ferretti, Philipp Plein, Etro, Fausto Puglisi x Roberto Cavalli, Rahul Mishra, Stella Jean, Gilberto Calzolari, Genny, Chiara Boni, Matteo Ward, Sara Sozzani Maino, Desserto, Tommy Hilfiger, German Larkin, and Nima Benati.
Following the institutional opening at the Monaco Town Hall, the event will move to the exclusive setting of the Monaco Yacht Club, where a “Face to Face” with Federico Marchetti, Founder of the Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, President of the Fashion Task Force of the Sustainable Markets Initiative founded by H.R.H. King Charles III when he was Prince of Wales, and Member of the Board of Directors of Giorgio Armani S.p.A., will be held.
At the Yacht Club, a new project against violence against women will also be presented.
The eagerly awaited MCFW Fashion Award Ceremony will follow, during which creators and fashion personalities who have distinguished themselves for their ethical and innovative vision will be awarded.
Returning to the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week as an exceptional godmother, one of the pioneers of social sustainability, attentive to the values of DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), Stella Jean, will open the shows with her sunny and energetic collection.
Monegasque and international brands will follow on the podium.
To conclude the shows, young designers from Central Saint Martins in London will be highlighted on the podiums, with the scenographies of the Pavillon Bosio – Academy of Fine Arts of Monaco.
The Fashion Hub will host Pop-Up shops and the Monaco Women in Finance Institute Symposium, which works to promote women’s inclusion and entrepreneurship.
Radio Montecarlo will be the official radio of the event.
