Autumn and the arrival of the Toussaint school holidays bring with them the much-anticipated Funfair in the Principality, an event cherished by the public. This year, the fair will take place at Monaco’s Port from Friday, October 18, at 2:00 PM, until Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at midnight.
As every year, 78 stands will be set up, ready to bring joy to everyone: from rides and bumper cars to game stalls and food vendors. The City’s Entertainment Service, responsible for organizing the event, has thought of everything.
Children will enjoy their favorite attractions, such as the Palais du Rire, the “CARS” carousel, and the Astrojet, while thrill-seekers can try out adrenaline-pumping rides like the Aviator, Pirate Ship, and the much-anticipated return of Atmosfear. And no fair would be complete without tasty treats: waffles, Hungarian brioches, crêpes, socca, hot dogs—there’s something for every taste.
The funfair will be open every day from 11:00 AM for food stalls and children’s rides, with closing at 11:00 PM, except on Fridays, Saturdays, and holiday eves, when it will stay open until midnight. On November 18, the eve of the national holiday, it will close exceptionally at 1:00 AM.
In terms of safety, the measures remain the same as in previous years. Access will be through eight entrances located at the upper and lower parts of Quai Albert Ier, where bag checks will be conducted. Visitors are encouraged to carry light bags to speed up operations.
Additionally, the number of visitors will be limited. Once the maximum capacity is reached, access to the fair will be temporarily suspended. To monitor crowd levels in real-time, visitors can check the Monaco City Hall website, www.mairie.mc, before heading to the Port of Monaco.
