The Nouveau Musée National de Monaco presents a unique performance: “Suivre le perroquet blanc. Récits et autres tours” by Lidwine Prolonge
For the first time, the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco offers an innovative experience that combines art and tourism. On February 27, 2025, at 5:00 PM, a special tour-performance titled “Suivre le perroquet blanc. Récits et autres tours,” created by artist Lidwine Prolonge, will take place. This event will offer a new perspective on the route of the Monaco tourist train, which usually connects the main tourist stops of the city.
Have you ever looked at the tourist train’s route from a different perspective? Seen from above, its path takes on a truly unique form. For this occasion, participants will be able to board the train, settle into its seats, and experience something beyond the traditional guided tour. In addition to discovering the history of the monuments and the Principality of Monaco, attendees will be immersed in a performance that blends cinema, literature, anecdotes, and happy coincidences, all accompanied by evocative atmospheric music.
Artist Lidwine Prolonge will guide this “grand tour,” inviting participants to reconsider the ordinary and look at a landscape that has been repeatedly romanticized with fresh eyes. The title “Suivre le perroquet blanc” (literally, “Chasing the white parrot”) invites reflection on the familiar, as the artist weaves together stories and cultural references, offering a unique experience.
The tour will begin promptly at 5:00 PM with the departure of the tourist train. Participants are invited to arrive by 4:50 PM at the Monaco Tours parking lot, located in front of the Monaco Oceanographic Museum. The performance will last approximately 40 minutes. Following the tour, there will be a meeting with the artist at the Pavillon Bosio, École supérieure d’arts plastiques de Monaco (1 Av. des Pins, 98000 Monaco) at 6:30 PM.
Participation in the event is free, but registration is required based on availability. To register, please email public@nmnm.mc.
