The 65th Edition of “La Farandole”, the International Folklore Festival of Nice, will return this year from August 7th to 11th, 2024.
It will host folklore groups from Brazil, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, the United States, and Wallis and Futuna, a French overseas territory.
The performances will not only take place at the Théâtre de Verdure but also in various other locations throughout the city and in several towns of the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur: Levens, Belvédère, Saint-Jeannet, La Gaude, Saint-André-de-la-Roche, Châteauneuf-Villevieille, and Drap.
The International Folklore Festival of Nice, created in 1935, is one of the oldest festivals of its kind in Europe. After its disappearance in 1995, the city of Nice decided to revive this event in 2017, greeted with enthusiasm by locals, tourists, and lovers of traditional music. The festival is recognized and labeled by the CIOFF (Conseil International des Organisations de Festivals de Folklore), the official partner of UNESCO.
