Numerous free activities will be proposed throughout the day.
Running : The Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur Sports organises a cycle race open to all. A 1,000-metre climb, 60 km of legendary roads that will be used by the Tour de France riders during the Grand Final in Nice in 2024.
The race starts at 8.30 a.m. on Saturday 08 June on the Quai des Etats-Unis.
Stands : A wide range of stands dedicated to cycling will be present.

Fire is the result of a chemical reaction, but it has always fascinated mankind. The first real traces of fireplaces date back 400,000 years and testify to the domestic use of fire by humans. Today, this vital element is taken for granted. However, it marks a turning point in man’s evolution.

This exhibition is the first retrospective devoted to Martine Doytier. It brings together all her works known to date.
Martine Doytier was an artist in Nice from 1971 to 1984. Over a period of thirteen years, she developed a captivating oeuvre.
Her sharp eye and her ability to sketch characters and tell their stories produced a constantly evolving body of work and led her to undertake what would be her last unfinished work: ‘L’Autoportrait’, a painting she worked on for five years that passionately describes her everyday world.

THE EXHIBITION ROUTE
In an immersive and interactive setting, the exhibition Les Elles des Jeux traces over 130 years of our contemporary society through the stories of emblematic women with exemplary destinies. The exhibition is divided into 6 sections, both chronological and thematic. With ‘Elles ne sont pas les bienvenues’, the exhibition begins its journey through time with the first Olympic Games of the modern era.
